Designed for the modern user, this device moves beyond simply amplifying sound; it delivers a premium, personalized hearing experience while eliminating the hassle of constantly changing batteries. This description will walk you through its key features and specifications to help you determine if it is the right fit for your lifestyle.
The Pinnacle of Convenience: True Charge and Go Functionality
The most immediate benefit of the Signia Orion Charge and Go is its name itself: it’s rechargeable. This model is built for users who want a “set it and forget it” experience. No Need to mess with tiny Zinc Air Batteries anymore. Instead, you simply place your hearing aids in the included charger overnight.
-
All-Day Power: A single full charge provides you with reliable power to get through an entire day of waking hours, including streaming .
-
No Battery Replacement Costs: By switching to rechargeable, you save money and reduce waste associated with disposable batteries.
-
Inductive Charging: The device uses inductive charging, meaning there are no exposed electrical contacts on the hearing aid itself. This enhances durability and makes the charging process as simple as placing them in the sleek, compact charger .
Intelligent Sound Processing for Real-World Situations
While convenience is a major draw, the core purpose of any hearing aid is to improve speech understanding. The Signia Orion Charge and Go utilizes Signia’s most advanced processing platform to analyze your environment and make split-second adjustments.
-
Augmented Focus™: This feature isolates the primary speaker in front of you, making it easier to follow conversations even in noisy environments like restaurants or family gatherings. It doesn’t just turn down the noise; it actively focuses on the voice you want to hear.
-
Dynamic Soundscape Processing: The hearing aid scans your environment 500 times per second. It identifies different sound sources—like wind noise, music, or multiple conversations—and adjusts the acoustic settings automatically to provide a natural and balanced listening experience.
-
Feedback Cancellation: Sophisticated feedback cancellation allows for a more comfortable and secure fit without the annoying whistling sounds that can plague older hearing aid models.
Seamless Connectivity and Control
In our connected world, your hearing aids should work in harmony with your devices. The Signia Orion Charge and Go is built with Bluetooth connectivity at its core.
-
Direct Streaming: It streams phone calls, music, TV audio, and more directly from your iPhone or compatible Android devices. This turns your hearing aids into high-quality wireless earbuds.
-
Signia App Control: The free Signia App gives you discreet, personalized control over your hearing experience. You can adjust the volume, change programs, fine-tune the bass and treble, and even find your lost hearing aids using the “Find My Hearing Aids” feature.
-
Hands-Free Calling: Enjoy clear, hands-free phone conversations. The built-in microphones pick up your voice so you can talk naturally without holding your phone.
Tinnitus Relief Support
For many individuals, hearing loss is accompanied by tinnitus (a ringing or buzzing in the ears). The Signia Orion Charge and Go offers built-in tinnitus therapy features. It can generate customizable sound patterns (like white noise or ocean waves) to provide relief and make tinnitus less noticeable, helping you relax and concentrate throughout the day.

Additional Information
A CROS device is designed for people who have profound hearing loss in one ear that cannot be helped by a standard hearing aid. The Signia CROS IX is a transmitter worn on your "bad" ear. It captures all the sound from that side and wirelessly streams it to a compatible Signia IX hearing aid worn on your "good" ear. This allows you to hear sounds coming from your impaired side, giving you a sense of balanced, 360-degree hearing again.
This device is ideal for individuals with Single-Sided Deafness (SSD) or those with unaidable hearing loss in one ear. It is perfect if you have one ear with normal hearing or mild loss (using a standard Signia IX aid) and one ear where a hearing aid provides no benefit. If you also have significant hearing loss in your better ear, your Hearing Care Professional might recommend a BiCROS solution, where the "good" ear also gets amplification.
The CROS transmitter cannot be used alone. It is a companion device that must be paired with a compatible Signia IX receiver hearing aid worn on your better-hearing ear. It is designed to pair with popular models from the IX family, including the Styletto IX, Pure C&G IX, and Silk IX.
Insertion is simple. Hold the receiver cable at the bend near the earpiece, gently push the earpiece into your ear canal, and twist it slightly until it sits comfortably. Open and close your mouth to avoid air buildup, then lift the device and slide it over the top of your ear. To remove it, gently pull your earlobe and take the device out. For Silk IX models (CIC), use the removal cord by pulling it gently towards the back of your head.
Daily cleaning is key. Wipe your device every day with a soft, dry tissue. Never use water or cleaning solvents, as they can damage the electronics. Pay special attention to the charging contacts—wipe them dry and clean before placing the device in the charger to prevent corrosion. For the earpieces, clean them right after removal to prevent earwax from hardening.
The Signia CROS IX features a convenient USB charger (usually a portable charging case). Simply place the device in the charger, ensuring the charging contacts align. A full charge typically provides all-day battery life. When the battery is low, you will hear an alert signal repeated every 20 minutes, giving you about 1.5 hours to recharge it before it stops working.
Yes. While the CROS transmitter itself doesn't have Bluetooth for streaming music, it connects to the Signia App via the receiver hearing aid. This allows you to discreetly adjust the volume, change programs, and personalize your hearing experience directly from your smartphone.
You will know the device is active through audio cues. When you remove it from the charger, a startup melody plays in the hearing aid on your good ear. Similarly, if the battery is running low, the hearing aid will beep with a specific signal tone to alert you.
Yes. Built on Signia's Integrated Xperience (IX) platform, the CROS IX is designed to provide crystal-clear speech clarity even in complex, noisy environments. It uses advanced signal processing to enhance speech coming from your bad side and deliver it to your good ear, making conversations in crowds or restaurants much more manageable.
To completely power down the device, press and hold the rocker switch for several seconds until you hear a power-down melody. Alternatively, placing it in the powered charger will also turn it off for short-term storage. However, if you turn it off via a smartphone app, it may enter a standby mode and still draw a small amount of power.
