The Phonak CROS I R tackles this problem with smart technology. The “CROS” stands for Contralateral Routing of Signal. It’s a system of two devices:

• On your unaidable ear, you wear a discreet CROS transmitter. It doesn’t produce sound; it simply captures the sounds around that ear.

• On your better ear, you wear a compatible Phonak Audéo R Infinio hearing aid.

• The CROS transmitter wirelessly streams the sounds it picks up across your head to the hearing aid on your good ear.

This allows your good ear to “hear” for both sides, restoring your ability to hear people approaching you from your deaf side and dramatically reducing the mental strain of trying to figure out where sounds are coming from. The result is a more natural, 360-degree awareness of your soundscape.

A full charge takes about three hours and provides up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge, including streaming. And with a durable IP68 rating, it’s highly resistant to water, sweat, and dust, so you can wear it confidently in the rain or at the gym.

Seamless Connectivity for a Modern World

When paired with the Audéo R Infinio, your CROS system becomes a hub for modern connectivity. You can seamlessly stream phone calls, music, and TV audio directly from any Bluetooth®-enabled smartphone, tablet, or TV. A Note on Compatibility and Professional Fitting

It’s very important to note that the Phonak CROS I R is designed exclusively to work with the Phonak Audéo R Infinio hearing aids. It will not function with the older Lumity or Paradise lines, nor with the newer Sphere Infinio models.
