Signia Motion Charge and Go M/P/SP/IX – Product Overview
Overview
The Signia Motion Charge and Go IX is a premium, high-power receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid engineered for individuals with moderate-to-profound hearing loss. Built on Signia’s cutting-edge Integrated Xperience (IX) platform, it combines robust amplification with the sophisticated, conversation-focused sound processing found in the 2024 IX portfolio. Unlike the lifestyle-focused Styletto, the Motion series is purpose-built for durability, power, and ease of handling, making it an ideal choice for users who demand reliability and performance without compromising on modern connectivity or style.
Design & Appearance
The Signia Motion Charge and Go IX is designed with both robustness and practicality in mind. Its housing is engineered to meet IP68 standards, offering superior protection against dust and moisture, making it suitable for an active lifestyle or for users concerned about humidity and perspiration. The device features a user-centric design with a larger, more tactile battery door and a secure sport lock to keep the device firmly in place. Despite its high-power capabilities, the casing has a discreet and ergonomic profile, available in a range of contemporary color options to suit different preferences. It is designed to be easy to handle for those with dexterity challenges, ensuring effortless daily use.
Battery & Charging
As the name implies, the Signia Motion Charge and Go IX is built around a convenient lithium-ion rechargeable system. A single full charge provides a full day of power, including streaming, to keep up with demanding listening environments. When placed in the sleek, compact charger, the hearing aids are safely powered up and stored. The charger itself supports rapid charging, providing several hours of use from a short charging session, and can be powered via standard USB-C for global travel flexibility. For users requiring extreme endurance, the Motion Charge and Go SP and IX variants are equipped with an even larger battery, ensuring consistent performance from morning to night, even with heavy streaming and high amplification demands.
Sound Processing Technology
Conversation Management
The Motion Charge and Go IX harnesses the full power of the IX platform to transform speech understanding in complex, multi-person environments. At its core is RealTime Conversation Enhancement, which analyzes the dynamics of group conversations—including turn-taking, speaker movement, and background noise—to ensure the wearer stays engaged without feeling overwhelmed. This is powered by Dynamic Soundscape Processing 3.0, which scans the acoustic environment 1,000 times per second, processing over 192,000 data points to track and enhance multiple speakers simultaneously.
Dynamic Focus isolates and prioritizes speech from individual talkers amidst background noise, while Augmented Focus sharpens the contrast between the target voice and other sounds. In bustling group settings, Conversation Booster intelligently enhances the clarity of the current speaker. The system’s Focus Stream (front) and Surrounding Stream (environment) work in tandem to ensure spatial awareness is never lost. SpeechFocus utilizes adaptive directional microphones to lock onto the speaker in front, seamlessly switching strategies—like the “Strolling Program”—when conversation comes from the side. Spatial SpeechFocus leverages real-time detection of the wearer’s own voice for a completely natural listening experience, and OVPâ„¢ 2.0 ensures the user’s own voice sounds clear and natural, not hollow or boomy.
Listening Comfort
From reverberant halls to bustling streets, this hearing aid is architected to maintain exceptional fidelity and user comfort in any environment. SpeechStabilizer preserves the natural rhythm and details of speech even in turbulent noise. An extended bandwidth of 12 kHz captures high-frequency sounds crucial for speech understanding and music appreciation. The high-speed Feedback Cancellation system is particularly vital for high-power hearing aids, diligently preventing whistling while maintaining maximum stable gain.
Auto EchoShield (available on 7IX) automatically detects and suppresses echoes and reverberation in challenging spaces like auditoriums or stairwells, with a dedicated Reverberant Room Program (on 7IX and 5IX) for additional control. SoundSmoothingâ„¢ tames sudden, jarring impulse noises (like doors slamming or dishes clattering), while eWindScreenâ„¢ minimizes wind interference for comfortable outdoor use. With a 117 dB extended dynamic range, the device faithfully reproduces everything from soft whispers to powerful sounds, ensuring a rich and complete auditory picture. Motion Sensor+ further optimizes sound by detecting if the wearer is walking, running, or sitting, adjusting the listening experience accordingly.
Connectivity
The Signia Motion Charge and Go IX is fully equipped for the modern, connected world. With built-in Bluetooth LE Audio, users can stream audio and manage hands-free calls directly from compatible iPhone and Android smartphones. The device is also engineered for the future, featuring Auracast readiness to connect with upcoming public broadcast systems in venues like airports and theaters. Android users benefit from ASHA support for seamless wireless streaming.
HandsFreeâ„¢ technology enables calls to be taken without touching a phone; the hearing aids act as a headset, capturing the wearer’s voice and transmitting it with clarity. CallControlâ„¢ allows for easy call management via a button press on the device. For expanding connectivity, the StreamLine Mic accessory streams high-quality audio from PCs, older phones, and other Bluetooth devices directly to the hearing aids, and TV Soundâ„¢ delivers television audio wirelessly.
Wearer Empowerment
The Motion Charge and Go IX offers deep personalization through the Signia App. Users can fine-tune their experience with the Spatial Configurator, manually steering the microphone focus to where they need it most. The Signia Assistantâ„¢, powered by a cloud-based Deep Neural Network, provides on-demand, AI-driven adjustments and troubleshooting, learning from real-world acoustic data to optimize performance in any situation. The app also includes My WellBeing, transforming the hearing aids into a health companion by tracking daily steps, activity levels, and social engagement. For remote professional support, TeleCareâ„¢ connects users directly with their hearing care professional for virtual fine-tuning and consultations.
Tinnitus Management
The Motion Charge and Go IX comes with a full suite of tinnitus relief features. Notch Therapy, Signia’s patented approach, is highly effective for tonal tinnitus. The Tinnitus Noise Therapy Manager offers flexibility, allowing users and clinicians to blend traditional noise therapy with amplified notch therapy. Soothing options like Ocean Waves Therapy and customizable Static Therapy Signals provide calming background sounds to help manage tinnitus symptoms and provide relief throughout the day.
Fitting Optimization & Technology Levels
Available in performance tiers 3IX, 5IX, and 7IX, the Motion Charge and Go IX allows for a tailored solution based on the user’s lifestyle and budget. The flagship 7IX tier includes the full suite of features, including 48 processing channels, Auto EchoShield, and the most advanced tinnitus management. The device is also CROS/BiCROS compatible, making it an excellent solution for single-sided deafness by wirelessly streaming sound from the non-hearing side. Professional fitting tools like InSituGram, AutoFitâ„¢, and Data Logging ensure precise, efficient, and personalized programming by a hearing care professional.
Ideal Candidates
The Signia Motion Charge and Go IX is the ideal choice for adults with moderate-to-profound hearing loss who need a powerful, reliable, and durable hearing solution. It is perfectly suited for individuals who lead active lives, are concerned about moisture or dust, or simply prefer the ease of a robust, all-in-one rechargeable device. It is also an excellent option for those who want the latest conversation-enhancing technology of the IX platform but require the higher power levels that the standard Styletto cannot provide. Users with dexterity concerns will appreciate the larger controls, and those with single-sided deafness will benefit from its CROS compatibility.
Key Limitations
The Motion Charge and Go IX utilizes a proprietary lithium-ion rechargeable battery; it does not offer a disposable battery option. While the sound processing technology is state-of-the-art, the form factor is slightly larger and more robust than standard or slim RIC devices to accommodate its high-power receiver and durable build. As a prescription hearing aid, it requires a professional fitting and is not available over the counter.

Additional Information
A CROS device is designed for people who have profound hearing loss in one ear that cannot be helped by a standard hearing aid. The Signia CROS IX is a transmitter worn on your "bad" ear. It captures all the sound from that side and wirelessly streams it to a compatible Signia IX hearing aid worn on your "good" ear. This allows you to hear sounds coming from your impaired side, giving you a sense of balanced, 360-degree hearing again.
This device is ideal for individuals with Single-Sided Deafness (SSD) or those with unaidable hearing loss in one ear. It is perfect if you have one ear with normal hearing or mild loss (using a standard Signia IX aid) and one ear where a hearing aid provides no benefit. If you also have significant hearing loss in your better ear, your Hearing Care Professional might recommend a BiCROS solution, where the "good" ear also gets amplification.
The CROS transmitter cannot be used alone. It is a companion device that must be paired with a compatible Signia IX receiver hearing aid worn on your better-hearing ear. It is designed to pair with popular models from the IX family, including the Styletto IX, Pure C&G IX, and Silk IX.
Insertion is simple. Hold the receiver cable at the bend near the earpiece, gently push the earpiece into your ear canal, and twist it slightly until it sits comfortably. Open and close your mouth to avoid air buildup, then lift the device and slide it over the top of your ear. To remove it, gently pull your earlobe and take the device out. For Silk IX models (CIC), use the removal cord by pulling it gently towards the back of your head.
Daily cleaning is key. Wipe your device every day with a soft, dry tissue. Never use water or cleaning solvents, as they can damage the electronics. Pay special attention to the charging contacts—wipe them dry and clean before placing the device in the charger to prevent corrosion. For the earpieces, clean them right after removal to prevent earwax from hardening.
The Signia CROS IX features a convenient USB charger (usually a portable charging case). Simply place the device in the charger, ensuring the charging contacts align. A full charge typically provides all-day battery life. When the battery is low, you will hear an alert signal repeated every 20 minutes, giving you about 1.5 hours to recharge it before it stops working.
Yes. While the CROS transmitter itself doesn't have Bluetooth for streaming music, it connects to the Signia App via the receiver hearing aid. This allows you to discreetly adjust the volume, change programs, and personalize your hearing experience directly from your smartphone.
You will know the device is active through audio cues. When you remove it from the charger, a startup melody plays in the hearing aid on your good ear. Similarly, if the battery is running low, the hearing aid will beep with a specific signal tone to alert you.
Yes. Built on Signia's Integrated Xperience (IX) platform, the CROS IX is designed to provide crystal-clear speech clarity even in complex, noisy environments. It uses advanced signal processing to enhance speech coming from your bad side and deliver it to your good ear, making conversations in crowds or restaurants much more manageable.
To completely power down the device, press and hold the rocker switch for several seconds until you hear a power-down melody. Alternatively, placing it in the powered charger will also turn it off for short-term storage. However, if you turn it off via a smartphone app, it may enter a standby mode and still draw a small amount of power.
